Snapseed is packed with basic features that can you can apply manually or with auto mode. However, it does have tutorial cards to help you out, and it’s so popular that you can find multiple tutorials online. The only downside is that it doesn’t have such an intuitive interface as the competing apps. With all the tools and presets, you can do high-quality retouching. This isn’t the case with Snapseed, which is a powerful photo editing app. Most free apps are quite basic or offer an in-app purchase if you want an advanced tool or a special filter. Pixelmator Photo is a photo editing app specifically designed for iPad to recreate the desktop editor experience. They all include some storage space in the cloud, and you can choose to have other apps from the Adobe Creative Cloud in your subscription. Once the trial period is over, you can choose one of the Adobe plans to subscribe to. To do so, you’ll need to create an Adobe account.

Since there’s also a desktop version that is part of the Adobe Cloud, you’ll be able to work on all of your devices efficiently without having to backup or create multiple versions of your file. This means that you’ll find multiple tutorials, presets and other assets, plus you’ll be able to share and work easily with other colleagues. Adobe Lightroom is one of the most popular photo editing apps for iPad, and pretty much across all devices.
